This petroglyph is from a site located in Canyon de Chelly, Arizona. The originals were created by members of the Anasazi culture who inhabited this area for 1,000 years. These open-mouthed bighorn are typical of the Early Developmental Pueblo period type of petroglyphs AD 700 - 900. This image represents a communal sheep drive, showing the lead herdsman connected to the last sheep with a power line.
